Jin Akanishi (26) set off from Tokyo yesterday evening to begin his US tour, reports Sponichi Annex, Daily Sports, and Sports Hochi.

Wearing a black jacket, white t-shirt and jeans, the Johnny’s star appeared at the Narita airport departure gate shortly before his plane was about to take off where more than 20 journalists were waiting for him.

It has been reported that Akanishi had smiled as he told the press he wants to have fun on this trip.

When asked whether he had a message, Akanishi replied, “I’ll do my best”, before boarding his ANA flight.

The singer’s US tour “Yellow Gold Tour 3010″ will kick off in Chicago on November 7, before going around San Francisco, Houston, Los Angeles, and New York.

The America tour will be based on what I have done for You&Jin in both Nissei and LA, and I want to show something exceeding the previous performances.

Today, representing "Yellow Gold Tour 3010", a futuristic theme. Along with the theme, I'm putting the sounds together.

First of all, to power-up the music in becoming something futuristic... The dances and costumes will have a more packed feeling as well.
Right now, I'm still preparing. There's about 2 weeks until it all begins, there's still alot to do and it's not a good thing (laugh). That goes for my own performances, as well as examining the live as a whole.

Although it's a big deal, since I'm working on it, I want to present the best, because I want everyone to hear it. I won't just compromise so I'll work hard. Now I'm still trapped in the music studio, I spent quite a long time yesterday working here and there as well.

Right right, I wrote new songs other than the "Body Talk" I performed at the Farewell party. The melodies are pretty easy to remember, and there are about 1~2 ballads. The lyrics have happy contents, sexy feelings, and all kinds of genres like that of "Body Talk", I will eventually perform those in front of everyone in Japan.
